Students will complete 4 courses from the list below. Coursework for the certificate may not be applied to any other major or minor requirements.

Prerequisites:

• COMP_SCI 110, COMP_SCI 150 or equivalent programming coursework in Python
• Note that many upper level COMP_SCI courses also require COMP_SCI 111 and COMP_SCI 214-2

Choose at least 2 of the following music courses:

• MUS_THRY 251 Introduction to Music Cognition
• MUSIC 320 Listening in the Age of the Algorithm
• MUS_THRY 348 Corpus Studies
• MUS_THRY 335 Selected Topics in Music Theory
• MUS_THRY 336 Selected Topics in Music Cognition

Choose at least 2 of the following computer science courses:

• COMP_SCI 325, 326, 338, 347, 348, 349, 372, 461, 449, 461, 463
• COMP_SCI 313 Tangible Interaction Design and Learning
• COMP_SCI 375 Digital Instrument Design
• COMP_SCI 352 Machine Perception of Music & Audio
