Degree Requirements
The following requirements are in addition to, or further elaborate upon, those requirements outlined in The Graduate School Policy Guide.
BS/MS
Recommended Undergraduate Coursework
Undergraduates intending to apply to the BS/MS program are strongly encouraged to complete these courses in the undergraduate curriculum:
- Mulivariate Calculus (ES_APPM 252-2 Honors Calculus for Engineers, MATH 228-2 Multivariable Integral Calculus for Engineering, or equivalent)
- Differential Equations (GEN_ENG 205-4 Engineering Analysis IV, GEN_ENG 206-4 Honors Engineering Analysis IV, MATH 250-0 Elementary Differential Equations, or equivalent)
- Linear Algebra (GEN_ENG 205-1 Engineering Analysis I, MATH 240-0 Linear Algebra, or equivalent)
- Programming (GEN_ENG 205-1 Engineering Analysis I, COMP_SCI 110-0 Introduction to Computer Programming, COMP_SCI 111-0 Fundamentals of Computer Programming, COMP_SCI 211-0 Programming in Systems-Level Languages, or equivalent)
MS Requirements
Total Units Required for the Master's Degree: 12
- The degree requirements are the same as those outlined for the Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics MS.
- Courses used to fulfill bachelor's degree requirements may not be used to fulfill requirements for the master's degree.
